CAMDEN ROLL, BEAT DELCO; 49-90
Cougars get back in the W column with big home victory
Blackwood, NJ -- Cougars produce win in largest margin of victory all season
CCC MBB (10-6) delivered a dominant performance on its home floor, rolling past Delaware County College (3-13), 90–49, in a convincing conference victory.
From the opening tip, Camden set the tone with high energy on both ends of the court. As a result, the Cougars jumped out to an early lead behind efficient ball movement and aggressive defense, forcing turnovers and converting them into easy transition baskets.
The Cougars' pressure limited Delco's offensive rhythm throughout the first half, allowing them to build a commanding 51-23 advantage heading into halftime.
Camden shot the ball well from the perimeter, converting over 50% of their attempts from the field and 3-pt range overall. It was the first time the Cougars have achieved such a milestone all season.
In the second half, CCC continued to push the tempo, extending the lead with consistent scoring and disciplined defense. The Cougars maintained their intensity all game, even when starters were pulled around the 10-minute mark and went on to win in convincing fashion.
Offensively, CCC showcased its depth and balance, with multiple players contributing to the scoring column. Overall, the bench unit scored 29 total points and was led by Freshman Forward, Steven Robinson (Cherry Hill, NJ).
Robinson had a career night, scoring 13 total points along with 6 rebounds and 2 blocked shots.
Mikey Campbell (Fayetteville, NC) also produced a career night, scoring 25 points on 9/12 shooting while also adding 8 rebounds.
Kai Gatson (New Castle, DE) & Ayden Copestick (Deptford, NJ) combined for 26 points 4 rebounds and 6 assists. The pair also combined to shoot 7/13 from 3-pt range.
The win highlights Camden County College's strong home-court presence and continued momentum as the season progresses.
The Cougars (10-6) will look to build on this performance as they prepare for their next matchup, Thursday night at Georgian Court University.
