LADY COUGARS BATTLE, FALL TO PASSAIC CC
Camden (3-4) will look to re-group after short break in action
Blackwood, NJ -- Lady Cougars drop to 3-4 going into break
The Camden County College women's basketball team (3-4) came up short this past Saturday, dropping a competitive contest to a strong Passaic CC squad (5-1). Despite a rocky 1H, the Lady Cougars improved their play in all facets during the 2H of play. However, Camden was unable to sustain momentum, ultimately falling 67–56.
CCC struggled to find their offensive rhythm in the early stages of the game and were playing from a 17-5 deficit after the 1Q. While the Lady Cougars were able to settle into the contest and produce points in the second, they still trailed 18-33 going into halftime.
After a rough half, Camden came out in the 2H with a new-found sense of energy and confidence which allowed them to get right back into the game. Offensively they were back on track, scoring 20 in the 3rd and 18 in the 4th for a total of 38 points in the half. While Passaic was able to produce 21 in the 3rd, Camden's defense was stout in the 4th – allowing just 13 points.
Overall, it was Passaic's strong start to the game that hurt the Lady Cougars in this one as the 2H of this game was rather evenly matched.
With the loss, Camden falls to 3–4, heading into Thanksgiving break.
The Cougars will now look to regroup and prepare for their next home matchup against a strong Northampton squad (5-2) on December 2nd at 5:00pm.
