Blackwood, NJ -- Lady Cougars get back on track, win big at home

Camden CC delivered an impressive win on Tuesday night, rolling past Bergen Community College 70–31.

From the opening tip, the Cougars offense was sharp and balanced, building a big early lead as several Cougars were able to produce points and affect the game in multiple areas. 

Defensively the Cougars forced Bergen into a multitude turnovers, finishing with sixteen total steals. Their effort consistently turned defense into offense which frequently resulted in points on the other end.

As the game progressed, their defensive intensity never wavered, restricting Bergen's offense to tough, contested shots while also limiting second-chance opportunities.

Bergen scored single-digit points in every quarter of play, an impressive feat for the Lady Cougars and a first on the season. 

Freshman Guard, Angela Karamasakis (Washington Township, NJ) presence was felt everywhere on the court as she had an excellent overall outing.

Angela scored a career high 23 points (8-17, 5-10 3PM/A) along with 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals and 5 blocked shots. 

Sophomore Forward, Brianna Kemble (Blackwood, NJ) registered a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. She also contibuted 4 assists & 4 stocks.

Freshman Guard Tajai Webb (Clementon, NJ) added 7 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists off the bench. 

The 39-point victory not only improves Camden CC's record (4-6) but also provides a much-needed boost of confidence which strong Region XIX opponents ahead.

After a long stretch of home contests in the first half of the season, CCC will have only three remaining games at Papiano Gymnasium after the upcoming Winter Break which makes every contest that much more important.

CCC WBB (4-6) will host SUNY-Orange (1-6) this Saturday, December 13^th at 2:00pm.
